Thanks for being here!

Confession: every time I make ramen I think “Everybody Loves Ramen” to myself, as if there was a sitcom where a guys parents live across the street and barge in unannounced all the time to bug him and his wife about noodles

Im roughly in the middle of my 48-hour cross-country AMTRAK journey. This might take roughly 12 times the duration of a direct flight but this has been extremely stress free and everyone along the way has been delightful

Its been a wild couple of weeks at work so Ive been pretty absent from internet posting.
Im on vacation now though, so get ready for train trip photos and travel hangout vibes!

Now I have the tiny dog! Now I have all THE POWER!!

I just made the first post to the community blog to kick things off and commemorate one month of our little network!

My friends got me a planter for my birthday! It keeps the plant watered by “drinking” the water out of the dish

I had a team brainstorm meeting so I bought this bonus HMart snack.

These are like oreos but *way* *fancier*!

How, Part 2:

Maybe line your baking sheet with foil so you don’t forget that the liquid that cooks out of tomatillos is sticky and bakes into a hard brown crust.

But look at those roasty lil guys!

How, part 1:

Cut all the veg in half

Put everything except the onion on a baking sheet (with edges) and roast in the oven for about five minutes per side on real hot

Take those out and while they’re cooling on the stove, dice up the onions real small, rinse them in a colander, and drain

Blend up everything from the baking sheet with ~1/4cup water, then stir in the onions and salt to taste

First of all, the recipe, courtesy of Rick Bayless (second best Rick, number one Bayless)

6 medium tomatillos

One jalapeno

Two serranos

One big white onion

3-4 large garlic cloves but I used two because I have the spicier kind

Im making some salsa tonight with stuff from the farmers market near my office. Ill be posting updates here!

Just gonna tell myself, if I don't get selected for the show, it's no big deal. I need to keep applying to a lot of these! Anyway, I produced a piece and submitted it to a show in one day, so that's something to be proud of!

This weekend I’m planning to write some posts to kick off the community blog and then share an invite link here that you can use to let people join us here for pos vibes and pet photos
